440C-CR30 Manual Reset Required

CR30-RESET-REQ

The CR30 is configured for manual reset. After a safety input was activated (E-stop, guard door, light curtain), all inputs have returned to the safe/reset-ready state but the system requires a deliberate manual reset before safety outputs will re-energize.

Probable Causes (ranked)

Fix Steps

  1. 1 Walk the machine and verify all E-stops are released (twist-and-pull to release), all guard doors are closed, all light curtains are clear
  2. 2 Locate the machine's safety reset button (typically green pushbutton on the control panel or at a remote station)
  3. 3 Press and hold the reset button for 1–2 seconds — CR30 requires a minimum pulse width to accept the reset signal
  4. 4 Verify the CR30 OUTPUT LED changes from amber/off to green after reset — indicates outputs energized
  5. 5 If reset button press does not clear the condition, check wiring from reset button back to CR30 reset input terminal
  6. 6 Verify reset button NC/NO contact type matches CR30 configuration in CCW
  7. 7 If CR30 still does not reset, check that all safety inputs are truly in their de-actuated state — CR30 will not reset with any input in fault

Field Trick

Operators often push the reset button too quickly. The CR30 requires a 0.25–2 second pulse to register a valid reset. Hold the button for a full 2 seconds to ensure the CR30 accepts it. A momentary tap is often ignored by the relay.
