Probable Causes (ranked)

Fix Steps

  1. 1 Check zone controller LEDs — identify which zone is faulted
  2. 2 Verify 24VDC power supply voltage — must be 24V ±10%
  3. 3 Check O-ring belts between MDR and slave rollers — replace if broken
  4. 4 Inspect MDR for product wrapped around shaft — clear debris
  5. 5 Swap MDR with known-good unit to confirm motor failure
  6. 6 Replace zone controller card if motor tests good

Field Trick

Pull the O-ring belt off the MDR and spin the roller by hand. If it doesn't spin freely, the motor is seized. If it spins freely but doesn't run, check the zone card.
